New Year's Eve 2012

New Year's Eve 2012 saw us start celebrations early - about 5.00 PM on the outdoor decking. Celebrations might be to much of a description, although there was a bottle of bubbly associated with the close of 2012. I can't say we celebrated the birth of 2013 as we were in bed before the midnight hour.

It wasn't that we didn't have any where to go to celebrate the the beginning of the new year - we're not big on all that hoo-haa thing at the strike of 12.

So! We decided on a quiet time at home, drinking Champagne on the deck and reading our Kindle and Mini iPad. Later we enjoyed a nice meal and a bottle of Vintage Shiraz while watching the first three episodes of Downton Abbey on DVD.

Can I hear you saying - "Boy, that's a hard one to beat - those Simsies sure know how to party".

Hope your New Year's Celebrations were as exciting as ours!

Oh yeah and we went into Surfers to watch the midnight fireworks. Still trying to get down for the weekend of the 18th to see you all before Drew goes back. xx

  6. Wishing you both a happy and successful 2013. We saw the new year in quietly, taking advantage of nothing particularly happening to recharge our batteries. Hope you are doing the same.
