The wind was gusting - there was a chill in the air.
Snow fell on the higher altitudes in the rural areas of Victoria.
It is winter at Mentone Beach,
our home by the bay.
It was Friday 8.30 am when I stopped to take these photos on my iPhone.
We are now in the depths of Melbourne's winter and its hard to be motivated with outdoor activities.
But then again, its not Canada or Britain in winter.
Our weekend is looking better - not raining for a change.
What a great blue sky! I'd happily settle for winter days like these! If there's one thing I hate it's the grisaille and the rain we can get here. :-)
ReplyDeleteN&A, How nice to hear from you - Sue is thinking that we will visit London when we are in France Oct/Nov this year - maybe we will experience this grisaille that you mention.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair the grisaille never lasts that long and the UK can out grey/rain/drizzle the Loire/Touraine any day. If Sue goes over to London she'll definitely need an umbrella.
DeleteWhat outdoor activities would you like to be motivated by? Unless you are a footballer, I would rather be spending the winter in museums, galleries, concerts, cinemas and wine bars :)
ReplyDeleteHels - both appeal to me being both a Jock and an intellectual..........LOL!
DeleteBet you are still cycling regardless of the weather, I have to admit we are fair weather cyclists! I hate winter but it was never so bad in Rhodesia / Zimbabwe we did get blue skies and the very occasional frost. Take care D & N xx
ReplyDeleteD&N - only 9 weeks before we are back but this time with your winter approaching. Don't like cycling in the cold but no choice.
