SPIT and POLISH

We've painted the ceilings, the walls, the woodwork but the hard work was the preparation..
It's starting to come together now.
The floor sander arrived today and the 1st stage of preparing the 90 year old baltic pine floorboards began. Tomorrow he does the edges and then the first coat of varnish goes on the lush grained timber.
Within a week we can start redecorating the hallway, sitting and dining rooms.
Can't wait.

Meanwhile - this is our family room.

    1. WCS - Think about living in highly populated San Francisco and then where you are now. Which life do you feel more comfortable? Moving around rural France has introduced us to a more relaxed lifestyle plus we'll have more funds to do so when we sell. All good.

  3. It's looking good. I was going to say what Walt said... it's so nice that you won't want to leave. But I understand the reasons for your change. Best of luck.

  4. Ha the last photo looks like us when we have a fit of painting but we do try to do one room at a time. When it comes to floors though it means a grand removal. Have a good weekend D & N xx
